World Voltages. The world runs in two voltage ranges: 110-127V or 220-240V. If your device falls within either range, variations within that range won’t be a problem for short-term use. If the local power is 110V, for example, and your device lists its input at 125V, it will work.
The Circuit Breaker Size for a 230 Volt Air Conditioner. Kevin, according to the specs for the air conditioner the circuit that should be installed would be a 30 amp 230 volt circuit using 10/2 cable with ground. The circuit breaker for this air conditioner circuit should be a 2-pole 30 amp breaker. More about Electric Circuit Wiring for a 230
Use the NEMA plug chart below to identify a configuration by pin array or designation. NEMA designations are based on a two-part code where the numbers before the dash represent voltage and wires and the numbers after the dash represent amperage. For example, the "5" in the common NEMA 5 15 represents 3-Wire 125V and the "15" represents 15 amp.
The welder is rated at 230 volts and notice it has a tolerance of 10% (as with most all equipment), 230 - 10% gives 207 (or 208) volts, that's where the dual voltage comes in. As joed said 208 is a common 3 phase system as well as 240, but in every 3 phase system, single phase is available (2 hot wires instaed of three gives the same voltage
Depending on the size of the UPS, you will need to have a cord that matches the rating of the original. While you COULD run it that way, you should get a cord that is at least 16A-250V/1.5mm 2 to power it. 1. LawfuI. OP • 7 yr. ago. The power on the cord is 250V, same as the original, it can just handle less Amperes.
Receptacle's rating is 250v but standard voltage in the US is considered 240v. It is acceptable to vary +/- 5% without concern. Lots are OK +/- 10%.
The appliance is a pizza oven with Schuko plug [Picture 1], running at 240V 50-60Hz 2.8Kw. The receptacle is a US 240V 20A [Picture 2] to which is currently connected the PTAC [Picture 3]. Sharing the picture of the circuit panel [Picture 4] and the back of the appliance [Picture 5]
Unless you can find markings on the light or its packaging indicating that it will function on 240V as well as 120V, I have to assume that it was designed for 120V only. In that case, plugging it directly into European mains voltage may well destroy the electronics in the bulb and possibly even cause a fire.

can i plug 250v into 230v
